I’m calling to ask you something.  뭐 좀 물어볼 게 있어서 전화했어요.

I’m calling to say hello / hi. 안부 전하려고 전화했어요.

I’m calling to place an order. 주문하려고 전화했습니다.

I’m calling to congratulate you. 축하하려고 전화했어요.

I’m calling to make an appointment. 약속을 잡으려고 전화했습니다.

 

Hurry up! I’m busy making dinner. 빨리 해요! 난 저녁을 만드느라 바빠요.

I’m busy getting ready for the event. 나는 행사 준비를 하느라 바빠요.

I’m busy repairing my car. 나는 차를 수리하느라 바빠요.

I’m busy studying for my finals. 나는 학기말 시험 공부하느라 바빠요.

 

I’m about to kill myself, 나 막 죽으려던 참인데요,  

I’m about to go to bed. 막 잠자리에 들려는 참이에요.

I’m about to watch a movie. 막 영화를 한 편 보려는 참이에요.

I’m about to drink / have a cup of tea. 막 차를 한 잔 마시려는 참이에요.

I’m about to stop smoking. 막 담배를 끊으려는 참이에요.

 

 

but I’m afraid of heights. 그런데 높은 데가 무서워요.

I’m afraid of everything. 나는 모든 게 두려워요.

I’m afraid of flying. 나는 비행기 타는 게 무서워요.

I’m afraid of living my life. 나는 내 인생을 사는 게 두려워요.

I’m afraid of destroying her. 내가 그녀를 망칠까 봐 겁나요.

 

I’m afraid I have no idea. 미안하지만 나도 몰라요.

I’m afraid you got the wrong number. 미안하지만 전화를 잘못 거신 것 같네요.

I’m afraid I can’t accept your offer. 미안하지만 당신의 제안을 받아들일 수가 없네요.
