Pupil: “They are all dead.”

풀이
Can you tell me anything? 뭔가 나에게 말할 수 있느냐?
about 에 관해서. great 위대한.
chemists [kémists] 화학자들.
the seventeenth century [séntſuri] 17세기
pupil (pjú:pil]  학생, 생도
are all dead [déd] 모두 죽었다.

선생님 : “17세기의 위대한 화학자에 대하여 뭔가 알고 있는 가?”

역시 학생의 대답은 지당하다. 허나 감탄에 앞서 선생님은 한방 쥐어박고 싶은 심정일 게다.

chemist  (화학자)에서 ch를 [k]로 발음함에 주의.
